Itinerary in details
 

Day 1: Arrival - Vientiane - LuangPrabang (L,D)

 

Arrive Vientiane airport and transfer to the city for sightseeing : stop at Patouxay (the Victory Gate), then Vat Si Muang with its flowers stalls. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue visit That Luang Stupa, 45m high and the most revered shrine in Laos. Transfer back to the airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Depart Vientiane by QV 103 for Luang Prabang. Upon arrival Luang Prabang, transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Luang Prabang (B, L, D)


Breakfast at hotel. Visit Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful temple, then take the traditional boat trip upstream on the Mekong River to visit the famous caves of Pak-Ou, located at the side of the steep cliff on the bank of the Mekong River housing hundreds of Buddha statues. Lunch at Pha An Restaurant. On the way back by boat visit Ban Xiang Khong, the hand made paper village. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 3: Luang Prabang - Vientiane (B, L, D)


Breakfast at hotel. Visit morning market, the National museum (the former king’s palace), Vat Mai with its beautiful five-tiered roof and varanda, climb up the Phousi Hill overlooking the city and surroundings. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch visit Vat Visoune with Tat Makmo, the watermelon shape stupa and stop at Vat Aham. Transfer to the airport for flight to Vientiane. Depart Luang Prabang by QV 104 for Vientiane. Arrival in Vientiane, transfer to the hotel for check in.

Day 4: Vientiane - Hanoi (B,D)

 

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the fresh and colourful market of Thong Khan Kham then proceed to Vat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane, built in 1818 and Ho Phra Keo former, royal temple and free time at Talat Sao, the central market. Lunch (to own account). Afternoon visit the weaving village of Ban Nong Boa Thong then transfer to the airport for departure flight to Hanoi. Depart Vientiane airport for by VN 840 for Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi, transfer to the hotel for check in

Day 5: Hanoi - Halong - Hai Phong (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole October and November) Residence and One Pillar Pagoda. Drive to Halong, 180 km east of Hanoi. On arrival take a wooden boat and have seafood lunch on board. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 4-hour boat trip will visit to Thien Cung and Dau Go grottoes. Drop off in Halong town. Proceed to Haiphong transfer to hotel for check-in.

Day 6: Hai Phong - Hanoi - Da Nang - Hoi An (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Hai Phong, visit to the Garden theatre, Du Hang Pagoda and Kenh temple. Transfer back to Hanoi. Lunch at Koto restaurant (or Brother Cafe as alternative) Visit to Temple of Literature built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university, Quan Thanh Temple and Fine Art Museum. Transfer to the Hanoi airport. Depart Hanoi by VN 317 for Danang Arrive in Danang, Proceed to Hoi An. Transfer to the Hoi An Hotel or similar for check-in.

Day 7: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hoi An (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Danang, transfer to visit Cham Museum; Marble Mountain and China Beach. Back to Hoi An. Lunch at White Lanterns restaurant. Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. Visit the Phuc Kien hall, Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky old house and the workshop of traditional occupation of Hoi An ancient town.

Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Hue across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Arrival on Hue, the royal city of Vietnam’s last ruling dynasty and transfer to the Saigon Morin Hotel or similar, then visit Tu Duc tomb, Lunch at Club Garden restaurant Boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Visit Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market.

Day 9: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from Phubai airport. Depart Hue by VN251 for Ho Chi Minh. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to the hotel. Lunch at local restaurant. City tour: visit China town, Thien Hau Pagoda, History Museum with water puppet show (if time permits) and former Presidential Palace. Make photo stops at the famous tourist sites such as Notre Dame Church, and Central Post Office. 

 

O/N in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi - Tay Ninh (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to Tay Ninh church, center of the Cao-Daism religion which combines Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. Lunch en route. Visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of the underground tunnels used during the Vietnam war. Drive back to Saigon. 

 

O/N in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh - Siem Reap (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Time at leisure for own activities before transfer to the airport. Depart Ho Chi Minh by VN 827 for Siem Reap. Arrive Siem Reap and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit of Angkor Wat and sunset at the temple. Dinner at hotel.

Day 12: Siem Reap (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Visit of Banteay Srey and Bantey Samre temples. Lunch at local restaurant. Start the visit of South Gate of Angkor Thom, the Bayon and Baksei Chamkrong, the Elephant terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Dinner at local restaurant with Apsara Dance Show.

Day 13: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh (B,L,D)


Breakfast at hotel. Visit Floating Village and take a boat trip on the Tonle Sap. Lunch at hotel. Visit of Ta Prohm, Prah Khan and Neak Pean temple. Transfer to Siem Reap airport for flight to Phnom Penh. Depart Siem Reap by flight to Phnom Penh. Arrive Phnom Penh and transfer to hotel for check-in. Dinner and accommodation at hotel

Day 14: Phnom Penh - Departure


Breakfast at hotel. Phnom Penh City tour : Visit National Museum, Silver Pagoda, Royal Palace and Wat Phnom. Lunch at hotel. Transfer to Phnom Penh airport for departure flight to the another destination.
